Dental Insurance
The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce
through its association with Broadfield Benefits, Inc.
is happy to announce that Dental Insurance is now available
for sole proprietors and small groups.
Dental Insurance is available either in conjunction with the
Yorktown Chamber’s 19 medical insurance options
or it can be purchased as a stand alone policy.
The Dental Insurance plans are being offered through the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Currently we are offering two plan designs – a PPO option and a Managed Care Plan option (MCP). The plan that is best for you will depend on your dental needs.
The PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) option allows each enrolled person to go to ANY dentist of their choice and have up to $1,000/person/year of dental costs covered. This plan allows flexibility and is perfect for the person who wants regular preventative care and needs the
occasional cavity taken care of.
The Managed Care Plan (MCP) offers unlimited dental care including orthodontia through a network of Guardian dentists. Each member of the family selects a primary care dentist (PCD) who directs your dental needs including sending you to specialists if needed. Preventative care is generally covered at 100% and all other care is offered at greatly reduced cost. Individuals
with more complicated dental needs will find this plan can save thousands of dollars in dental bills and offers piece of mind when you need a lot of dental work or just one major procedure performed. The orthodontia benefit is a bit plus with this plan if you have children that need that
coverage. There is also no waiting period for any procedure.
